When mother of two, Zarah Hector disappeared after leaving her place of work on the 15th of March 2016, an extensive search ensues. Nine days after her disappearance, Zarah’s body was discovered in a shallow grave on a farm in Groot Drakenstein on March 24 – 10 days after she had been reported missing.
She had been bludgeoned to death with a hammer – allegedly over a drug debt – and her body dumped on a farm in Groot Drakenstein.
The puzzle pieces of her horrific murder showed how deeply the woman had been betrayed by someone she trusted.
Renaldo van Rooyen, 33, and Tawfeeq Ebrahim, 26, have both been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kuils River mom Zarah Hector.
They were also sentenced to 15 years jail time for robbery with aggravating circumstances.
