When 47-year-old interior designer Beatrice Harrowyn disappeared in November 2001, the missing person report filed by her friend coincided with the discovery of a body on the side of the N14. It would be the job of police to stitch together all the threads and tie up a possible serial offender.
Judge Johan Els sentenced electric cabling manager Jose Da Silva, 37, of Centurion, to life plus 18 years’ imprisonment for murdering and robbing 47-year-old interior decorator Beatrice Harrowyn in November 2000 after luring her to his home under false pretences.
