Sometimes just sitting down at your office desk can turn into a life or death situation.
The suspense-filled action movie, Hot Seat, released in cinemas last Friday (22 July 2022) and the reviews are as explosively good as the heart-stopping scenes.
Orlando Friar (played by Kevin Dillon) is a former criminal hacker doing his best to get his life back on track. On one seemingly ordinary morning, though, when Orlando sits down at his desk at his minimum wage cybersecurity job, he is thrust into a fight for his life and a criminal conspiracy to blow up half the city.
Orlando has been framed by the real perpetrator and although he is the victim – with a pressure-sensitive bomb strapped to the bottom of his chair – the bomb squad, led by Mel Gibson, don’t see it that way.
The stakes are high. Orlando has made a birthday promise to his daughter and he’s not prepared to let her down again when he’s only just started rebuilding their relationship.
So as the bomb squad starts to ascend the 80 floors to his office – dodging booby traps as they do – Orlando has to figure out a way to save his life and the city. The real mastermind behind the plan intends to use Orlando’s hacking skills to their advantage and the man in the Hot Seat has two choices: comply or die.
Also starring Shannon Doherty, Hot Seat will have your pulse pounding from the get-go as viewers watch a man get chased down by his past.
All the cops need to do is figure out the truth behind the plan, but it seems unlikely that they’ll do that before it’s too late.
